Vladimir Shumskiy (Shestakov Vladimir Fedorovich) was born in Zabaykalie, on mine Etyka in 1948. Has Finished the Irkutsk Art School in 1973.

Since 1975 V.Shestakov becomes the constant participant of the exhibitions of the miscellaneous level. Simultaneously he concerns with the sculpture. The Fascination for creative searching in the field of the forms and colour has brought the artist to understanding modern art.

In 1987 V.Shestakov moves in Tuapse, where has lived 15 years. Since 2002 lives in Kazan, continues active creative activity.

Works by Vladimir Shumskiy are found in private collections in Russia and overseas. Including beside Oleg Tabakov, Nikita Mihalkov, Larisa Dolina, Igor Nikolaev and others.
